PNEUMALEAD TORQUE ACTUATORS
CNR-15 | CNR-20 | CNR-20SW | CFR-35 |
---|
With Pneumalead you will be able to automate many of your manufacturing or processing steps that haven't been available with hydraulic motors, power cylinders, etc.
Instead of the continuous rotation and linear reciprocation offered by the conventional actuators, the Pneumalead provides repetitive rotation through a preselected angle only.
Incorporating precision-machined helical splines for conversion of linear piston motion into the repetitive rotary motion of the output shaft, the Pneumalead outperforms other torque actuators on the market in its ability to operate with the slightest working pressure.
You can choose from a full line of Pneumalead models to meet your particular needs.
Model CNR 15, for example, is miniaturized to an extent hitherto unattained by any other manufacturer.
Or there's a Model CNR 20W, with its "adjustable-angle, one-way rotation" features ( meaning that the output shaft rotates through an angle easily adjustable, piston-driven in one direction).
These and other Pneumalead model introduced here have a common denominator of easy installation, simple maintenance, positive operation, and versatility in regard to their applications.
More models, more sizes, are continuously developed at our factory to catch up with the newest demands for automation.
PACE-SETTING FEATURES
- Superbly light - acting - linkage or rack- and -pinion mechanism is not included.
- Needs the smallest space for installation.
- Complete line of selectable models, ranging in cylinder bore size from 15 to 35mm.
- Operable either pneumatically or by low hydraulic pressure.
- Mountable horizontally, vertically, or at any desired angle.
UNIQUE OPERATING PRINCIPLES
- A piston linearly reciprocable within the cylinder has internal helical splines in its axial bore, which make a sliding fit with external helical splines on the shaft running through the bore.
- The mated helical splines on the shaft running through the bore.
- The mated helical splines translate the linear reciprocation of the piston into rotation, through an angle predetermined by the piston stroke, of the shaft.
- Hence the projecting shaft end delivers torque, or turning force, that is applicable for manifold purposes.
- The piston is prevented from rotation by various means, differing from model to model.
DIRECTION OF ROTATION
The output shaft rotates clockwise, viewed from the cylinder front end, when pressure is introduced through the front port, and counterclockwise when through the rear port.(CNR-15 has a reverse rotation.)
